What is CBG? | Hemp Manufacturing | Retail, Wholesale, White Label

Did you know that there are over one hundred known cannabinoids? And estimates are there are hundreds more that just haven’t been discovered yet.

The cannabinoids that we know about all perform similar tasks in the human body. Generally they are anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and reduce pain.

But they all do a few things differently than each other as well. Which is why when you take multiple cannabinoids at the same time you get the renowned entourage effect.

Keep reading to learn more about one of the new hot cannabinoids on the market, CBG, and what it can do for you.

What is CBG?

Cannabigerol, or CBG, is exploding in popularity right now. If you haven’t already heard of it, you will soon and you’re going to be hearing a lot more about this cannabinoid in the coming months and years.

CBG, like CBD, THC and at least 110 other cannabinoids is one of the natural compounds found in the cannabis and industrial hemp plants. And it has similar benefits to its cannabinoid cousins, with some distinct differences as well.

First off, CBG is not psychoactive. The only known psychoactive cannabinoid is THC which is found in very trace amounts in the industrial hemp plants that produce the majority of CBG.

It is fairly similar to CBD though. Both cannabinoids are highly anti-inflammatory and excellent pain reducers.

And using the two in concert with each other reduces pain and eliminates swelling and inflammation better than using either one as a singular supplement.

Is CBG Different Than CBD?

As similar as these cannabinoids are, there are some important differences. Differences that you must be aware of if you are going to be taking CBG.

The most key distinction between CBG and CBD is that CBG is stimulating. It will give you energy, focus, and mental clarity.

These benefits are really the best part about CBG. But heed this warning, do not take CBG in the evenings close to bedtime.

It’s not caffeine, but it can make it more difficult to fall asleep.

A good regimen to practice with CBG is taking it in the mornings, around the same time as a cup of coffee. Then, take your CBD in the evenings for enhanced sleep and a steady flow of wellness inducing cannabinoids all day long.

That way you get the amplified effects of taking CBG and CBD together and you also get the singular benefits that each offers. CBD tends to be relaxing and in high enough doses can make you drowsy. That’s why it’s an excellent sleep aid and is very beneficial for your body if you take it before bed.

CBG is the opposite.

CBG + CBD = The Perfect Cannabinoid Combo.

CBG is perfect for your mornings when you need to gear up to be productive and focused throughout your day. As CBG gets metabolized and spread throughout your body during the day you will feel the mental sharpness and easy flow it produces.

It will also be working its cannabinoid magic at the same time. Reducing pain, lowering stress levels, all while enhancing your daytime mindset.

CBG is the perfect day time companion to a nighttime CBD practice.

Combine the two and the benefits will be amplified.
