Uncle Sam and his bureaucratic arms are reaching farther and farther into the world of CBD. The FDA and company are coming after more and more CBD companies for what they say about the CBD products they offer.
Fines are being handed out by the regulatory agencies of the federal government much more frequently than even a year or two ago.
So, be careful what you say about your products, and how you say it. And, more importantly, for your customers and your business, always be sure to offer high-quality CBD products.
You can’t make any health claims about what you sell. But you can ensure that what you offer is made with all the important parts of the hemp plant.
Keep reading to learn more about full-spectrum CBD oil and why it’s important that your CBD products contain it.
What is Full-Spectrum CBD Oil?
Simply put, full-spectrum CBD oil is a thick oil that can be incorporated into other CBD products. It’s made by stripping or squeezing all the non-fibrous components of the hemp plant away from the stalks, stems and leaves of the plant.
Many CBD products are made with CBD isolate or distillate, both of which to varying degrees separate CBD from the rest of the plant material.
It’s a fairly easy process because CBD is the primary cannabinoid in hemp. If you know how to extract CBD from the plant itself, you can get very high concentrations of CBD compared to other compounds.
Or, an even easier way to get isolated CBD is to buy isolate from a wholesale broker. That way you can mix up your own products and have exact amounts of CBD in every batch.
But is easy always best?
Why is Full-spectrum CBD Oil Important?
Health claims wise, things get a little tricky here when you talk about your products made with full-spectrum CBD oil. While we all may believe that using full-spectrum oil is healthier, that’s just a belief.
Is there medical science to back it up? You can do your own research on that.
The point is, when talking about full-spectrum CBD oil, the effects of the CBD, whatever those may be, are amplified. That’s because of the phenomenon known as the entourage effect.
When all parts of the hemp plant, including cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and more, are in the finished product they support and amplify each other. So the benefits your customers experience when they use CBD products are all elevated when the products are made with full-spectrum CBD oil.
Logically, it makes sense that if you use an entire plant you get more of a benefit than if you use an isolated or distilled down version of that plant. There’s power in numbers, and the more parts of the hemp plant you can pack into one product, the better.
Where Can You Get Private Label Full-Spectrum CBD Oil?
Not all private label CBD companies offer full-spectrum CBD products. If they can’t give you a certificate of analysis showing you the exact compounds and amounts of each compound in their products, they are likely being misleading.
Use caution with these companies. A lot of businesses in the CBD world are hopping on the proverbial gravy train because they see the explosive growth in the industry.
Unfortunately, many of them don’t know enough about hemp to be selling it, and don’t really care to learn more than they have to.
